Centrepoint is a 41,000 SF wood-frame multi-use development with a community hall, a church, and a 6-storey community services building with 32 affordable housing units and a daycare. The result of a public-private partnership, this project was designed to be a social services complex that would foster community collaboration.
To stay within the fixed capital budget, Kindred conducted extensive value analysis and generated nearly 15% in savings relative to the total project cost. Materials that could withstand up to 50 years of heavy use while still retaining their design aesthetic and intended use were chosen.
